Very good accomodation in the boat. Well equipped rooms with AC, good bathrooms, and clean. Food is excellent, with ample variety and options for food allergics. Our guide Jackie was very amusing and helpful, during activities such as Vietnamese spring roll cooking, kayaking, or visiting caves.

Thanks to all and especially Jackie for super end to end service throughout our 2 day 1 night cruise tour. Very well organised, excellent food and we were well attended at all times. A friend recommended Oriental and i will be doing the same. Such a beautiful place and a wonderful not to be missed experience when visiting Vietnam.
I went with my girlfriend on a day cruise and we really had a great time. The room and the bathroom were nice, food was very good and we were very well served. Specially won’t forget our tour guide, Nguyen Lang, he was easy-going and very well disposed.
We strongly recommend this cruise, since its a great quality-price. The cruise itself is very comfortable, clean and well equipped (the bathroom is really big for a cruise). Our guide Lang was great, he speaks perfect english and he was very helpful and attentive to detail. Try asking for him! The food is very tasty and abundant and the service…
I had the chance to visit HaLong Bay in a two-days cruise with Oriental Sails, and it was a great and relaxing experience, in such an amazing place! Moreover, our guide Tracy is extremely friendly, helpful and cheerful, always making sure that everyone was enjoying his/her time during the trip! Definitely recommended!!
We recently went on this trip and had such a good time!
Our tour guide (Hà) was so informative and lovely that she really made a difference to our enjoyment. (thank you again!)
The food on the boat was absolutely delicious and all the staff made the effort to meet our requests.
Drinks on the boat are a little expensive (for Vietnam!) although we managed to have some beers and cocktails for well under £30 for 2 for 2 days!
The pollution was noticeable but we would recommend doing the trip as the views are stunning, and the kayaking is worth the trip!
We were 8 people staying over night in April. There was another couple and a family staying there- they all were lovely and we had a great time. I think the views would be similar with other cruises, as we saw quite a few boats around. The best thing about the cruise was the food- during over 2 weeks in Vietnam nothing could beat Oriental Sails kitchen! I would recommend this cruise as have nothing to complain about. We were picked up from our hotel and then dropped off back on the next day. Coach journey- no problems, stopped for a comfort break. The guide (I think his name was Jackie) was very helpful and looked after everyone, seemed interested in our lives, wanted to see photos… Tai Chi in the morning, karaoke in the evening, lovely food in between, squid fishing at night… Happy hour on cocktails… Would definitely use them again!
What’s not to love? Sailing along the serene waters of Halong Bay the most created a mystical, ethereal wonderful backdrop to enjoy the delicious meals, comfortable beds and interesting side trip to the fishing village and pearl farm. Three star – not luxurious but certainly clean and comfortable. It’s a small boat- a big family or group of 3 small families will fill the boat… Great experience for the kids too! The smaller boat gave them more freedom – throughly enjoyed this trip
We had so much fun on our Overnight Cruise of Halong Bay and saw a lot. At night the other boats around us increased the atmosphere of our trip. The cabins were very nice, the crew were fantastic and the food was great. On our table we had myself who has coeliac disease, another person with coeliac disease plus lactose intolerance and a vegan. We were all catered for admirably and had ample amounts of delicious food.
Fabulous experience! 2 day 1 night. Booked one day in advance. Super accommodating. Food was amazing. Tour guide had fantastic English. The water was very cold – just so you know!!!
